WestEnd Recording was a hole sponsor for the 2009 Bluefoot Invitational Charity Golf Classic. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament benefited The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was established in 1993 by ESPN and late NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano. Its mission is to save lives by helping to find cures for cancer. Since its inception, The Foundation has raised more than $45 million and awarded more than 200 research grants nationwide. The V Foundation operates with a small staff and an all-volunteer Board of Directors and Scientific Review Committee to ensure that 100% of every dollar goes directly to research.
